Integration - Gendex and PBS EndoOnce set up, you will be able to launch Gendex directly from PBS Endo and have the information on your Currently Selected patient made available. To activate the Gendex integration in PBS Endo: In PBS Endo, click on Help and About; the version displays in the lower left corner. For PBS Endo Version 8:
For PBS Endo Version 7 or less:
To Use PBS Endo and Gendex:Launch both PBS Endo and Gendex. You should now see both programs identified on the Windows Taskbar. With PBS Endo running, make your Currently Selected patient the one whose radiographs you want to either create or review. From the Daily Activity menu in PBS, click on Radiography. PBS Endo will automatically pass the Currently Selected patient’s information to Gendex which will either display this patient’s current radiographs, or allow you to capture new ones. Click on Gendex in the Task Bar. You will see your currently selected patient’s name at the top of the Gendex window. Troubleshooting:The Integration is not working. You know that the integration is not working because the Currently selected patient’s name is not displayed at the top or Gendex and PBS Endo keeps asking you to start Gendex. To integrate, Gendex must be set in a special mode. The program to do this is distributed with your Gendex software. Call Gendex to allow them to walk you through the mode setup. My patient has radiographs in Gendex, but PBS Endo cannot find them. This is caused by PatientIds that do not match in both programs. This happens when patients are entered into Gendex directly, and not through PBS Endo. If Gendex’s PatientId is different than the patient’s PBS Endo Account and Member Number, simply access the radiographs by looking up the patient in Gendex. Similarly, if a patient is deleted and re-entered in PBS Endo, his new PatientId (Account and Member Number) will be different from his original. |
